Hi, I’m Bri… and I'll be honest, as a self-proclaimed talkative introvert. Networking events have always felt intimidating to me. Now, that sounds a little contradictory, right? I love talking to people. I can hold a conversation all day long, but walking into a room where I don't know anyone and standing awkwardly by myself trying to decide who to talk to next? Absolutely not my favorite thing.
I’ve wanted to connect with more women business owners throughout the Quad Cities, but I often found myself declining events. Not because I didn't want the connections or I didn't see the value, but because showing up alone felt uncomfortable.
The good news? After talking to countless other women entrepreneurs, I realized I wasn't the only one. There are SO many of us craving community and friendships with people who understand what it's like to run a business. We're looking for collaborators, referral partners, mentors, and women who simply "get it” and can understand how the day-to-day life feels.
Finding those connections can feel hard, and that's exactly why BuildHER Social was born.

More Than Just Another Networking Event
When I started dreaming about BuildHER Social, I knew I didn't want to create another event where people exchanged business cards and left without making any meaningful connections. I wanted something different—I wanted a space where women could walk in feeling nervous and leave feeling like they found their people.
Whether you're a photographer, therapist, coach, boutique owner, creative entrepreneur, service provider, or CEO, BuildHER Social was created to help you build genuine relationships with other women who are growing businesses right here in the Quad Cities.
The truth is, business can be lonely, and it becomes a lot more fun when you have people cheering you on along the way.

No Awkward Networking Required
One of my biggest goals for our very first BuildHER Social event is making it easy to connect.
✔️ No standing in the corner wondering who to talk to.
✔️ No awkwardly walking up to strangers and asking if you can join their conversation.
✔️ No trying to figure out who owns a business and who came with a friend.
Instead, we're incorporating speed networking into the event. You'll have dedicated one-on-one time with every single person in the room. Every woman. Every business. Every opportunity to connect.
The best news? By the end of the night, you'll already know everyone there without having to force uncomfortable introductions or work up the courage to approach someone first.
As someone who has spent way too much time standing awkwardly at networking events trying to figure out where I belong, I wanted to create the exact experience I wish existed years ago.

Why Community Matters More Than Ever
The online world has made it easier than ever to connect with people, and I love that convenience. However, there's still something special about sitting across from someone, hearing their story, learning about their business, and realizing you're not alone in your challenges.
Some of the best opportunities in business come from relationships.
✔️ The referral you weren't expecting.
✔️ The collaboration you never saw coming.
✔️ The friend who understands exactly what you're going through.
✔️ The mentor who shares the advice you needed to hear.
BuildHER Social isn't just about growing your business. It's about building the kind of community that supports your business for years to come, because when women support women, incredible things happen.
